The original surface was corroded by the oil refining process. We are looking for ways to protect the original surface and avoid welding, as the heat can damage it.

Their previous supply to customer is getting worn out in 3 months of operation, they want full campaign solution for the season.

Customer was looking for reliable, quick delivery and cost effective welding consumables

1. Short lead time of 2 weeks delivery of 12 tons of Super Duplex stainless Soild TIG rods. 2. CVN requirement of Avg. 80J @ -50 deg C 3. Corrosion test ASTM G48 Method A with Zero pitting and maximum weight loss of 4gm/m2 at 40 degC after 24 hrs.

The problem was high wear rate on the molds which the local repair consumables were not very effective

The customer was experiencing a problem in which holes developed in the existing chute due to wear. The current solution involved shutting down operations, removing the highly combustible conveyed material, and then carrying out repairs by welding. However, this approach presented several challenges, including securing sufficient maintenance time and the associated repair costs.

We have no experience with this issue. When researching other companies, people usually offer boiler cladding with Inconel to prevent corrosion rather than erosion, as in this case.
